From the garden of our lodging in Pasadena, the voodoo lily was unfolding itself. Mike had done a good job of finding us perfect accommodations. Not only was the garden to my liking, but the house made us just want to settle in.

I'm sorry but I didn't get a photo of Spartacus (Denise's other dog) or Michal's (the proprietor) cat. After a tour of the garden we were given a glass of wine to enjoy in front of the fireplace.
