the summer seems to be flying by

Peach pie is in the oven for tonight's fried chicken neighborhood dinner. Half the can of Crisco is gone. Two thirds of the summer is gone too. Plans for September and October trips have been made. Here's the bouquet my friend Martha brought me last night, tiger lilies:

We are ever so stylish in the the piano shop. In fact since he was moving the cast iron plate of his piano, he thought he should replace the flip flops he was wearing with real shoes. We are also ever so aware of how heavy things can be when falling on your toes.
