2:58 pm it's officially spring

And our 37th wedding anniversary.

I think we may have been more energetic 37 years ago, but we are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate.

i'm declaring it spring

I've hung my latest quilt, and even if it's misty and cold outside there's some cheer in the house.

Eating my lunch today I realized how I always will choose a bowl over a plate. Is it the shape? The containment? How it feels in the hand? I like to knit in the round, perhaps I'm just drawn to anything circular in nature.

moonrise

Last night were treated to, not an amazing sunset, but a spectacular moon rise. We were both shuffling for space, shooting out our upstairs bedroom window, cameras clicking away.

The clouds changing colors, the moon getting sharper. After so many clouded over evenings, just viewing the moon was welcome.

catnip

We're not doing anything.... oh but Aero was.

I promised Aero I'd get him some fresh catnip  and I made good on my promise, and then he found it. In fact I had a hard time getting in the front door, he smelled it.

the joys of a rainy day

Aero is definitely enjoying the day. Dashiell is upstairs asleep on the bed and I dare not photograph and waken the sleeping beast. I finished piecing a quilt top and decided it was time to clean up and maybe grab from the stash for a back. And I discovered these wonderful Japanese fabrics. I have no idea how they came to me. But I realized that come summer, when I bring out my blue quilt they would make wonderful pillow covers.

 I'm going to keep digging around in my fabrics, who knows what I'll find.
