the northwest: victoria, port townsend and seattle

This was a trip of many modes of transportation, to experience, to view,  and learn of their past and present.

Our experiences were as varied as the watercraft, from the Union Club of British Columbia to visiting our friend at the Eco Village in Port Townsend. We managed to make our way, just barely, in Seattle traffic. The reward was the lovely yarn store within walking distance of our Airbnb.

It was a good trip. We only wore our raincoats once, and just to use as windbreakers.

elephant seals

We stopped in Inverness Park to gather our lunch and take out to one of our favorite picnic spots below Chimney Rock. The lifeboat station is fully protected from the wind and with the sun at our backs we sat at the picnic table viewing the elephant seals below us.

Pretty nice afternoon. These creatures are amazing.
